You've probably got one eye on the finish line. But don't forget to take a moment to reflect on your progress and give yourself a pat on the back.
This is the time to start thinking about yourself in a more compassionate way. Yes, you're about to become a parent, but that doesn't mean you can't still take care of yourself. In fact, it's more important than ever.
Start by establishing a mindset of self-compassion. Remind yourself that you're doing the best you can, and that's good enough. Be gentle with yourself, and forgive yourself for any mistakes you may make. It's normal to feel overwhelmed during this time, so give yourself permission to take things slow.
Most importantly, don't be afraid to ask for help. If you need more support, don't be afraid to reach out to a therapist or counsellor. They can help you process all the emotions you're feeling and give you some much-needed guidance.
Pay attention to your physical Health. If you're feeling run down or experiencing any unusual symptoms, see your doctor right away.
It's so important to connect with your loved ones during this week.
Take some time out to catch up with them over coffee, lunch or dinner. Talk about your shared memories, what's been going on in your lives and just spend some time together. They'll appreciate it, and you'll feel all the better for it.
Don't forget to take a few moments to appreciate the progress you've made. This could be anything from tidying up your home, finishing a work project, or simply staying productive throughout the day. No matter how small the accomplishment may seem, it is worth celebrating.
You can celebrate in whatever way makes you feel most comfortable, whether it be taking a break and treating yourself to something special or doing something that brings joy such as writing in your journal or having your favourite meal. Find something that works for you and make time to enjoy it!
