Checking in With The Baby

Your baby's development is continuing to progress, even in the last few weeks before they are born. You may be feeling all sorts of emotions as you wait for them to come into the world-anticipation, excitement, love, and more.

One way to connect with your baby during this time is to talk to them. You can chat about anything you like their impending arrival, what life will be like once they're here. You may also want to let them know that you understand they are in the final stages of development, and that you are eagerly waiting to meet them.

This is a special time for both of you, and spending it bonding through conversation will only strengthen your connection. Enjoy these last few weeks before your baby arrives!

What You Can Say to Your Baby While They Are in the Womb

As your baby finishes up the last stages of their development, you may find yourself wondering what you can say to them. After all, they can't really respond yet or can they?

Your baby can hear your voice and will know who you are. You can tell them you are looking forward to seeing them, and anything else that's on your mind. They may not be able to reply, but that doesn't mean they're not listening. The most important thing is that you let them know you're there for them and that you understand what they're going through. This is a special time for both of you, and it's important to take advantage of it.

Talking to them and gently encouraging them is a way to show your baby that you understand that they are finishing off the last stages of their development and you are anticipating their arrival. It can also help your baby feel connected with you, even before they are born, which will help create an emotional bond.

Additionally, it can help promote healthy physical development by providing warmth and protection because talking and singing will relax the pregnant mother’s body which causes her uterus muscles to relax as well. This helps reduce high blood pressure and increases a healthy flow of oxygen throughout the unborn child’s body. Furthermore, studies have shown that babies can recognise voices by the fifth month of pregnancy so talking to your baby in the womb lets them become familiar with your voice which is comforting for them when they finally do arrive. And don't forget to talk to them about how much they mean to you!

Other ways to Communicate

There are many ways you can communicate with your baby during this time, such as talking, humming, singing, and reading. When you sing to your baby or play music, you're creating a connection and letting them know that you're waiting for them. Playing soft classical music or lullabies can be particularly soothing for your baby.
